1. About us and these terms
This website is operated by Electio Pty Ltd (ABN 71 668 448 637) trading as Shire Migration (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our principal, Tatsiana Pustavoit, is an Australian Registered Migration Agent (MARN 1800880).
These terms apply when you use this website and when you book a consultation with us. By booking a consultation, you agree to these terms.
2. Information on this website
- The information on this website is general information only. It is not immigration advice about your circumstances and should not be relied on as such.
- Migration law, policy, fees and processing times change often. We aim to keep the website accurate, but it may not reflect the latest changes. Always check current information with the Department of Home Affairs or us.
- Using this website, or contacting us, does not by itself create a client relationship with us.
- Links to other websites, including government websites, are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
3. Booking a consultation
- Booking requests. When you book online, you make a booking request. Your appointment is confirmed only when we email you the confirmation.
- Fees and payment. Consultation fees are shown in Australian dollars and GST is added at checkout. Payment is made in full when you book. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your card details.
- Tax invoice. We email you a tax invoice/receipt for your payment.
- If we cannot confirm your request. If we decline or cannot accommodate your booking request, we will cancel it and refund your payment in full to your original payment method.
4. Rescheduling and cancellations
- Rescheduling. You may ask to reschedule your consultation by contacting us by phone or email at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- Cancellations. If you need to cancel, please contact us as early as possible. Requests for a refund are considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the notice given and your circumstances.
- If we need to reschedule. If we need to change your appointment, we will contact you to arrange another time. If no suitable time can be found, we will refund your payment in full.
- Bookings cannot be changed or cancelled online.
5. What a consultation includes
- A consultation is a session with a Registered Migration Agent to discuss your situation, your options and the risks, based on the information you provide.
- A consultation does not include preparing or lodging an application, or ongoing work on your matter.
- We do not review the drafts of the applications we do not manage or the documents for such applications during the consultation.
- If you would like us to act for you after the consultation, we will give you a written Agreement for Services and Fees setting out the services, fees and terms before we start, as required by the Code of Conduct for registered migration agents.
6. No guaranteed outcome
Only the Department of Home Affairs, or a review body such as the Administrative Review Tribunal, can decide a visa application or review. No registered migration agent or lawyer can guarantee an outcome, and we do not.
7. Your responsibilities
- Please give us complete, accurate and honest information, including about your immigration history. Our advice depends on it.
- Providing false or misleading information to the Department can lead to visa refusal and an exclusion period. If you are unsure about anything in a past application, tell us so we can advise you.
8. Code of Conduct, Consumer Guide and complaints
- We are bound by the Code of Conduct for registered migration agents.
- Please read the Consumer Guide, which explains what you can expect from a registered migration agent.
- If you have a concern about our services, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also make a complaint to the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).
9. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
10. Our liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on general information on this website, or from information you did not give us. Where our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.
12. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
- We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you book applies to your booking.
